New Contest!

At long last, right?? LOL.

I’m giving away three signed copies of the advance galley of ETCHED IN BONE, two signed cover flats for ETCHED IN BONE and one signed copy of the German edition of Rush, NIGHTFALL: SCHWINGEN DER NACHT. *Addition* I just received some BLACK HEART LOA cover flats from my publisher, so two will be added to the contest prizes!

Now off on a tangent. People magazine named Ryan Reynolds as Sexiest man Alive. Who do you think is Sexiest Man Alive (in real life or your fave fiction). Just post a comment with your answer to enter the contest.

Winners (8 in all) will be chosen on February 11th! Have fun and bonne chance!

A few Updates from Adrian

A few Updates from Adrian

I’m thrilled to announce that Pocket has picked up books five and six of The Maker’s Song series! Book Five is called: ON MIDNIGHT WINGS and I’m working on the manuscript right now. I’ve got to say, I couldn’t be happier!

Also, the German edition of A RUSH OF WINGS, Published by Heyne, was released in December. Since The Maker’s Song didn’t exactly translate well in German, the series title is NIGHTFALL and A RUSH OF WINGS is now SCHWINGEN DER NACHT (Wings of the Night). IN THE BLOOD will be released soon as RUCKKEHR DES ENGELS (Return of the Angels) with Beneath the Skin to follow. (I’ll let you know the German title.) Very exciting!

The first three Maker’s Song books will be coming out in Brazil soon as well.

I thought I’d share a bit of Michael Overa’s review of Beneath the Skin in the latest issue of Gothic Beauty Magazine. I swooned over the Neil Gaiman comment. LOL.

” . . . Beneath the Skin is Book Three of The Maker’s Song by Adrian Phoenix, and I would put it up there with books like American Gods by Neil Gaiman. The plot line is somewhat familiar to those of us who have been long time vamp fans. The attractive rock star vampire and his entourage are on the run from the humans and demons that are hunting them. There are twists and turns along the way, but we know that the vampire’s heightened senses and increased powers are probably going to save him in the end.

“These books have a strong connection to New Orleans and the mysterious culture of vampires that have been flying – no pun intended – underneath the radar for centuries in the Big Easy. The book centers around a dozen or so main characters, including: FBI agents, Shadow Branch agents, Dante Baptiste (Prejean), as well as True Blood vamps, converted vamps and Fallen Angels.

“If you’ve been reading Adrian Phoenix’s books for a while then you’ll be interested to learn more about Dante’s past and how he got to where he is. There are a lot of things that Dante is just now beginning to “remember” – most of which has been repressed by a mixture of guilt and shame (and maybe a little bit of government programming and brain-washing).

“This book is interesting and compelling and is a slightly different take on the vampire world as we have come to know it in other books. If you’re a vamp fan and looking for something new to read, I would suggest The Maker’s Song.”
