At Dawn They Sleep by Anders Manga
The official release date for Etched in Bone is January 25, 2011. It was pushed back a month due to a heavy publication schedule at Pocket. The good news is – it can be pre-ordered at Amazon and at Simon & Schuster
I thought I'd share the dark, bloody, and fascinating video from Trent Reznor's new band with his wife, Mariqueen Maandig, HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS. Not only do I love the music, I'm haunted by the video as I try to piece together the story of what happened. (To see the video for all its intriguing detail, watch it on a bigger window at Pitchfork TV or on YouTube.
I'm curious to hear what you think took place in the video. To enter the contest, just post a comment with your thoughts, even if it's just to say that you loved/hated the video.

Welcome to our Weekly Book Chat. We have decided to move from daily to week long chats to give everybody time to come and chat and get more in depth into the conversation. Let us know how you like this new longer format.
This week we are discussing The Maker’s Song series by Adrian Phoenix.
Please remember to identify spoilers, especially if they refer to events later in the series.
1.) Both Heather and Dante are fascinating leads in this series. Do you enjoy how their story is unfolding through each book?
2.) The atmosphere in this series feels like a character in it own right. Which aspect do you find the most fascinating: the angels, the vampires, or the shadowy mortal world?
3.) Who is your favorite secondary character in the series so far?
I had a fun chat with Courtney at Paranormal Fantasies about Black Dust Mambo and a few other things.
PF: Could you please tell us a little about BLACK DUST MAMBO in your own words?
AP: Hi Courtney! Thanks so much for inviting me to hang with y’all!
BLACK DUST MAMBO is the story of Kallie Rivière and her friends, who get caught up in darkest murder, mystery, and chilling revenge while attending the annual May Madness Carnival for magic-users in New Orleans. While struggling to keep herself and those closest to her alive as she races to figure out who is behind the murder and why, Kallie also finds herself tossing buckets of water on hunky conjurers in their boxers and facing-off with a good-looking nomad who is determined to keep her alive.
I want to thank Athenna and Stephanie of Paranormal Haven for sending me this photo of a display in their local Barnes and Noble.
Barnes and Noble display
Excited (meaning – jumping around incoherently while my co-workers eye me nervously wondering if it’s time for the trank gun. Again), I contacted my editor and sent her the photo and she said, “Man! I can’t believe I forgot to tell you about this!” LOL!
And while y’all are here, check out the Bitten by Books review of BENEATH THE SKIN.
And since I’m so excited about the displays in Barnes and Noble, I’ll give away a signed copy of BENEATH THE SKIN! Just leave a comment (nothing in particular, whatever you want to say) and I’ll choose a winner on Monday, May 10th.
